Supernatural Ratings Long Distance Call

Supernatural Long Distance Call recorded a total of 650,000 viewers. This is up 13% vs last week.
It was 3rd overall for ITV2 behind America’s Got Talent and Love Actually. So in all a respectable performance for the channel.
Also in the Sunday 9pm time slot is Inspector Lynley mystery (BBC1 5m), Wild China (BBC2 2.52m), Euro 2008 match (ITV2 4.72m), Big Brother (C4 2.67m), Doctor Who (BBC3 1m),

Overall for multi channel TV Supernatural was 17th for the week. For those programmes that started at 9pm (Dr Who started at 2030) it was number 1 on multi channel (clutching at straws I know!)
Watching this programme did mean that people couldn’t watch Australia’s Terrifying Top 20 (top 20 of what I don’t know), which scored 28k viewers.
Maybe it was top 20 terrifying ways in which to lose your pants in Australia.

Was slightly bored at work today so went off on a bit of a tangent!

I knew they'd be up this week and of course that episode is better than 'ghostfacers'

And of course people actually started to realise SPN was actually back (I saw a lot of people complaining they'd missed Ghostfacers simply because ITV2 hadn't advertised it enough and they didn't know it was back)

It's around about average for the season, so it's probably the core contingent coming back to watch.

Glad to see the figures improving - I actually prefer Ghostfacers to LDC. The plotting is much stronger; the writing of LDC was rushed, and it shows. But any improvement in the figures is wonderful.

I think Ghostfacers would have got a better reaction if 1) there was a longer season and 2) it was during the middle of the season.
Because Supernatural came back from a long break with only 4 episodes to sort out Dean's deal, think people were a bit frustrated and saw it as a wasted episode.

It was cool to see it shot in a different style with the brothers taking bit of a back seat.

Yeah, the circumstances really worked against Ghostfacers. But the bulk of the episode was written before the strike, before anyone knew how badly the remainder of the season would be hit, and to get back into production as quickly as they needed to, it had to be used. And it really is very cleverly written and plotted. It's just a shame about the circumstances.

*laments lost episodes*

Finale (again) this Sunday!

I wonder if it will be a different finale on Sunday. All bunnies and happiness.
